Valentine Facts For Kids

Cupid wasn’t always a cherub, it wasn’t till the 19th century that he really started being depicted as a playful, mischievous cherub.

The Valentine’s Day tradition of giving a box of candy was started in the 19th century by Richard Cadbury.

There is some confusion around who St. Valentine is, there are actually two men that could fit the bill, according to History.com.

The tradition of giving your loved ones roses on Valentine’s day is a tradition that dates all the way back to the seventeenth century.
